CASTELFRANC, FRANCE
From 1996 to 2001 the Dandelion Trust brought groups of children from Bosnia to historic Castelfranc. The project provided a loving environment for children who had suffered terror, cold, hunger and loss to reconnect with their lost childhood. They returned encouraged and heartened to face the slow rebuilding of themselves and their country. With more funding, the valuable work at Castelfranc could expand to make use of the land and cottages at nearby La Magdaleine.
